The mullet on the saltire was the difference used by the family of Thornton Bridge. Sir Alexander of that place married Catherine Evers. His will was proved 25 June 1457. See pedigree SD IV, 163 and FVY 611. Quarters 2 and 3 the editor cannot identify . A similar shield is given in Pap. 807, for Tasell of Suffolk.
